I am writing to invite you to attend North Lanarkshire UNISON’s Annual General Meeting.
It will be held on 1st March 2014 at 11am in The Bentley Hotel, 19 High Road, Motherwell, ML1 3HU. Tea and coffee will be supplied before the meeting with lunch provided after the meeting.
It is imperative to the democracy of our branch that we have as many members as possible at the meeting, with 100 members required to be in attendance before we can deal with any formal business. Further to this, it is important for us to be able to listen to the issues which are of concern to our members and to provide any information as requested on the day.
Although we are in challenging times we have had a successful year in a number of our employers and a strong branch is needed for us to build on this.
If you wish to submit a motion to the AGM you should write to Marie Quigley, Branch Chairperson, at the branch address no later than 18th February 2014 with the exact wording of the motion that you wish to be considered and any supporting paperwork (if appropriate).
The branch is keen that all members should be able to attend the AGM. If you would like further information including details of disabled access and provision of dependent care, please contact the branch office (details above).
