First Bus and Scotrail refuse to carry advertising in support of Council workers.
UNISON North Lanarkshire are today disappointed to advise our members that First Bus and Scotrail have both refused to carry any advertising in support of our campaign against North Lanarkshire Council’s Cuts.
Branch Secretary Marie Quigley said “It’s disappointing that services which rely on UNISON members every day are refusing to carry union advertising which supports members at risk of redundancy, privatisation, and reductions in take home pay.”
Quigley continued “Our message to members is that although First Bus and Scotrail have declined to carry our message, we are already in talks with other companies and our campaign will continue. Our members can be assured that we will continue to fight on the basis of No Compulsory Redundancies, No Cuts to Terms and Conditions, No Privatisation of Services and No Reductions to Take Home Pay”
